Joel S. Pate

Joel S. Pate, founder of Vadium Group, is a dedicated entrepreneur. Mr. Pate has spent more than two decades in the mortgage and real estate industries, and has proven the ability to consistently generate double, and often, triple digit growth for those he works with.

Early in his career, Mr. Pate gained experience in the real estate and construction industry with Miranda Development, Inc., a highly recognized homebuilder in Alabama. For more than fifteen years, he oversaw the construction and sale of over 500 homes. He has been a licensed Alabama Real Estate Broker since 1991 and an Alabama Real Estate Agent since 1985. Since that time, Pate has been involved in over $100 Million Dollars in construction loans and over $1.3 Billion Dollars of residential lending.

In late 1999, Mr. Pate was introduced to non-profit assistance programs that provided the down payment for home buyers. Mr. Pate founded American Family Funds, Down Payment Gift Program in 2001. In addition, Mr. Pate helped to form the industries trade association, the Homeownership Alliance of Non-Profit Down payment Providers (HAND). Consequently he served a term as HAND 's first elected Chairman. Since inception, American Family Funds has helped over 15,500 families purchase a home, by providing Down Payment Assistance.

As the driver of the VG's operations, Pate oversees all major strategic initiatives, including the procurement and development of the Company's Management Team, leading product development, marketing, training, and system integration.

Carole Carlson

As a Member of the Institute of Residential Marketing, Ms. Carlson has spent the last 25 years providing quality education to the residential building industry, teaching seminars in marketing excellence in the fields of new homes, seniors housing, and project management through the National Association of Home Builders.

Since 1976, Carole has been honing her craft as a Marketing Director for a variety of Fortune 500 builders and developers. In 1984, she founded Synergism in Marketing, Inc., a nationally recognized full service marketing company to the housing industry. In 1999, Ms. Carson became a real estate developer herself. In her career, she has been responsible for the design, marketing and sales of 40,000 homes, including more than 400 model homes and 100 sales offices.

Harry Bancroft Butler, III


Mr. Butler joined Pate in 2003 to support the company as the Director of Information Technology.

Formerly, Butler held IT positions with the Ruby Tuesday organization and Nexus ITG. During his career, he has designed, developed and supported numerous commercial web sites and web site applications which are still in use today.

Mr. Butler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of South Alabama.
